This course contains everything that the 180 Hour online only course provides but it comes with much, more bang for your buck. The online component will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the inner workings of TEFL and what it takes to teach it; our 12 month internship or job placement with 20 hours of one on one professional training, however, will really give you the strongest foundation upon which to build your TEFL dreams.

The Online component of our Level 5 200 Hour TEFL course has been designed specifically to be easy to fit around a busy schedule. It can be completed in your own time and from the comfort of your own home. Or the local coffee shop, the park, the backseat of a car, at the beach or in McDonalds. You are also provided support and guidance throughout.

During, or upon completion of, your TEFL course (depending on your time frame) we will get to work preparing all the documents for your visa to China. Some of these documents you will need to provide, the rest we will handle.* Our team will also be happy to assist you when it comes time to purchasing your ticket to China.

​Once you arrive in China the fun really begins. You'll be greeted by a member of our team at the airport and will commence your China orientation and one-one-one professional training program. This will be held both privately in our office as well as in a real classroom full of young learners. Once the training is finished, you'll work the rest of the 12 months at the very same place you did your training and you'll have all the support and assistance you need for the entirety of your time.

The Level 5 200 Hour TEFL Package will cover everything that is needed to get you started in the classroom. From grammar concepts and sentence structure to class management techniques and lesson planning. You won't feel wanting after you finish up your last exam.

​The full module breakdown is as such:

Unit 1: Introduction to TEFL
In the first part of the course you'll learn about teaching methodologies, strategies and techniques as well as a broad look at the TEFL landscape.

Unit 2: Initial Lesson Planning
You'll get right into the heart of planning a good English lesson for students of different ages, levels and class sizes and also looking at lesson aims and objectives.

Unit 3: Structuring your Lesson
You'll cover practical ideas and example lesson content as well techniques for presenting form, meaning and pronunciation.

Unit 4: Making it Work in the Classroom
This unit will cover how to create a positive classroom environment, how to utilise pair and group work, how to error correct and assist students with difficulties.

​Unit 5: Teaching Vocabulary
This unit will cover how to present new words and check understanding before then allowing students to utilise it all in a controlled environment.

Unit 6: Teaching Pronunciation
We will go over the basics of phonology, the phonemic chart, minimal pairs, connected speech and finally practical ways to teach correct pronunciation.

​Unit 7: Teaching Grammar
We will go through grammar basics (words, phrases, verb patterns), sentence building and approaches and practical ways to teach grammar.

Unit 8: Teaching Young Learners
This unit focuses on young learners and looks at rapport building and keeping things interesting as well as resources and materials for young learners.

Unit 9: Teaching the Four Skills
Looking at speaking, listening, reading and writing, this unit will help you understand how to most effectively teach each skill to benefit your students the most.

​Unit 10: Next Steps
You'll look at course books, how to create your own material, how to use music, film, sound and games, the use of online resources and how to adapt material.

On top of this you'll have the following specialist course of 20 hours:

Specialist Course: 20 Hours Real One-on-One Classroom Training
This module will go through everything necessary to prep you for the classroom including but not limited to class management and optimum seat arrangement; effective use of the board and other props; structuring a class; and a variety of games and activities..

With the Level 5 TEFL 200 Hour program you have ample time to complete the course. Its extremely flexible and able to fit into a busy schedule, whether you wish to do it every day in small bouts or once every week or two in much larger chunks. Regardless of how you wish to go about completing the course, it will be accessible wherever and whenever you need it from your computer or laptop.

In regards to the 12 month placement this depends on a variety of factors however we are also extremely flexible in this regard. In the sign up stage you just let us know a time frame that is good for you and we will work the course and visa process around that so when you're ready to come to China, we're ready to greet you with open arms and a warm smile.
